EVANS, Luceil S.
Luceil S. Evans, 89, of Folsom died Wednesday night, Mar 31, 2004 at the Kindred Hospital in Folsom. Mrs. Evans was born Jan 20, 1915 near Middle Grove, Mo., one of eight children of Rufus Earl and Bessie Lewis Pollard Snellings. She married Ben Evans Aug 18, 1937 and moved to his home of 20 years in Folsom. He preceded her in death on Apr 12, 1976. She had worked at McClellan AFB during the second World War and was head custodian at Theodore Judah School for 16 years, retiring in 1976. She'd been Troop leader for both Brownies and Girl Scouts. Surviving are her daughter, Benita Walter, her grandson, Leslie Marquette, both of Folsom, her brother Earl Snellings, and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all who knew her.
