It's all down hill from there...

Tuesday my Mom was complaining of a headache. She kept my Dad awake all night on Monday asking him for Cigarettes. He thought it was just nerves because of his surgery. The home health nurse saw her on Tuesday and said she was probably over medicated. She progressively got worse and better. She lost all since of time, not knowing who was alive and who was dead. Thursday I took her to emergency. She has had a stroke. A vessell in hear brain is bleading. She was in ICU Thursday and yesterday they moved her to a room. They cannot do an MRI on her because she has not had the Stint (SP) in her heart long enough. They did an Angiogram and found no anuresm and think the bleeding has stop.

Last night she seemed to take a turn for the worst.

I've been a crying binge. I have cried my eyes out the last 2 days. Cried myself to sleep last night.

It is so bizarre to have both your parents in the hospital. When she was in ICU they were literally 100 feet apart. I have spent over 72 hours at the hospital this week already.

Well John is out of the shower so I'm heading off to hospital.

Thanks to all of you for your kind words.

Happy Birthday to anyone I've missed. Thinking of you all, just don't have time to read or post.

Don't you even give LJ a second thought mate, your parents need you now and you can only spread your energy so far.

My thoughts are with you and I hope you are as ok as you can be during this time. I have been where you are and I know how hard it is. You will be ok though! :-)

i'm thinking of you and hope for some recovery from your parents. i'm sorry you are having to go through this right now, but i'm glad you can be there for them in their time of need. That's what is most important.

My Thoughts are with you. Just make sure you are taking care of yourself during this. Don't think your parents need to worry about you joining them ;-) (but it would cut down on the commute time to visit)

Wow, that's awful. But you have someone who is by your side in this and perhaps you can take comfort in that. I've known people who have gone through similar situations but have done so alone. I wish that I had something I could say which could give you some comfort.

Sorry to hear of all the health problems with your parents. I hope things get better for them, and for you, soon.

By the way, it is funny how things go round. I only discovered your LJ because of some totally unrelated pics you posted elsewhere, and I wanted o tell you how much I liked them.

I still like them a lot, but that seems so unimportant now.

Big hugs,
