It's official I'm a Democrat
Well last night we went to the 4 Freedoms awards dinner for the Stonewall Democratic Club of Sacramento. It was a very nice event. Great food and a Silent Auction (only cost me $50 for an autographed copy of Greg Louganis' Breaking the Surface.
The 4 Freedoms are based on a speach of Franklin D. Roosevelt's Speach (here): Freedom of Speech, Freedom to Worship, Freedom from fear, and Freedom from Want.
4 awards were given for each category then a final award went to the person who represented all four.
Judy Shepard was the recipient of the 4 Freedoms award. Being in a room with her was just so moving. It was a wonderfull experience.
Needless to say I finally broke down and re-registered as a Democrat.
