Well at the risk of being stoned alive, I thought Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azaban was long boring and lacking of plot.

Funny story about Mary Tyler Moore- she's diabetic!
I loved it. But I am a Potter fan. The director went into it saying that everyone knows this story already and I am not following this like that other movie made on a best selling work of fiction ( The passion of Jesus Christ ). *lol* well you insult harry Potter I have to insult his equal hahahahahaha!

Perhaps that's why I turned down my ex's invite to go see it at a drive-in from 8:30 to 11:30 at night! :)

Burn him! Quick...pile the wood...pour on the starter fluid...Kidding! All in all, I loved it. To be honest book 2 & 3 are my least favorites. 4 & 5 will hopefully rock. I did find it visually better than the first two. The fab three are shaping up to be great actors. Dunno...I likee. You must have some recessive gene, my friend.

1) It WAS Long abnd dragged in MANY Places.
2) The radical departure in directing styles and some of the continuity changes bewteen locations, design of Hogwarts so and and so forth from the first two movies caused a bit of distraction for me.
3) The story WAS a LOT Darker that the first two, but that also deals with the developement of Harry Potters character and his discover of who he is and about his parents and their lives.
4) If the new director does further movies I hope he sticks closer to the books and doesn't take Creative License. There were a few small plot points that were not touched in the Movie. Nothing too major, but they would have allowed more depth to some of the newer characters and explained a lot more of WHY Harry felt a connection to certain people as well as explained a bit more about Harry's Past and the people coming into his life at this time.

There are several other things thats I liked and disliked about the movie. But over all...It was a good movie, darker than the first two, but thats also how to books moved as well. They could have trimmed some of the slower parts and added a bit more detail on certain things, at least to fill in some of the backstory about Harry's parents and the relationship with Sirius Black and Professor Lupin. If ONLY to lay the ground work that will be revealed in later movies.
